Here's My Heart

Here is my first finished UFO for 2012. You may remember that I decided to try and finish twelve UFO projects this year, UFOs in 2012. This quilt was made for my precious seven year old, California, granddaughter for her seventh birthday. She was delighted by so many strips of her favorite color, pink! Because of illness this quilt took me over a year to make. This year is going to be better and this quilt started it off with a bang! I worked on it in the wrong order for the challenge since I could not figure out which which quilt they wanted me to work on. However, my granddaughter was patiently waiting so I went with it.

It was quilted by my friend Ann of Circle Square Longarm Quilting using her Hear's My Heart pattern.

Your grand daughter will love it because it's sewn with love. Good luck on tackling more UFOs

Nothing wrong with quilting out of order when a granddaughter is waiting!

This one is sweet and I think it's going to get a lot of love. Make sure you put a label on it before you give it to her so she will always remember when she got this special gift from a special person in her life.

Very pretty. I've never seen a string quilt I didn't like. I'm sure your granddaughter is sure she has the best grandma in the world!

You've given me a new idea for using up strings! I have a whole batch of 31 in neutrals. Maybe this is how I can use them up!

Wrapping your love around your grandchild with a quilt is what it is all about. That is why I quilt. Wonderful finish. Judy C

A great quilt, my Feb UFO is the same pattern, but only 9 square.

I am sorry you were ill for a while, but glad you are better and was able to get this finished for your grand! It really is beautiful. I also have a whole collection of strips per say that I could use in a quilt just like this. So many quilts, so little time! If you are willing, I would love to have you add this to my linky of Works In Progress Done! WIP'D.

It's very pretty! I love string piecing, and this is an excellent example of it. Good luck on your UFO goals!
