Mix It Up - Noah's Ark

Different size blocks were being discussed over on on Desertsky Quilting blog so I thought I would post this picture of a baby quilt I made quite a few years ago.

The blocks were all different sizes and I used many different reds cut in strips to make them come out the same size.

Please excuse the fuzzy picture as this was taken with an old camera and scanned in. This baby is now in college!

That's great! Has the quilt survived? Actually, I've been thinking of doing something like that with one set of my Civil War blocks. I'm using half of them in each of two quilts and want different settings. I have a ton of pink and brown and blue and shirtings that might work in something like this. Thanks for sharing the picture. I'm still thinking about how traditional I want Cherry Limeade to be - or not be.

Open ID isn't working on here, so desertskyquilts.livejournal.com

Thanks! I don't know if the quilt survived since I made it for a friends baby and we haven't seen them in many years. I hope he got lots of comfort from it.
