Midnight has run away from home. Actually we took her to her new home.
Midnight and Amelia never did decide to get along. Amelia has been with us for 7 years and the new cat just upset her world too much.
It has taken Amelia about a week to stop looking for Midnight but now she has settled down and seems content again.
As for Midnight............She has gone to live at our daughter's house. She now has a much bigger family. Besides our daughter, her husband and 3 children Midnight has two other cats, one very big golden retriever (who is terrified of all 3 cats), numerous fish, a frog and 1 pet rat! I don't go in their house unless I am sure the rat is it it's cage. They tell me he is very sweet!
Midnight now likes to sleep in the youngest son's room. He was always lovin' on her when she was here so he is happy. He also has the fish, frog and rat. Hmmm, I wonder if that is why Midnight likes his room!
She seems to be settling in just fine and we can see her anytime we want.
Sometimes we miss her but our household is more quiet now.

Midnight is currently snoozing peacefully atop the kitty condo after a fun morning of attacking the doggie bed (poor Dusty!). All is right in her kitty world. She says to tell you hello. ;-)
I, for one, will miss the stories of Amelia and Midnight. But then, I didn't have to live with them. :)
